Pros and cons of Pocket Rain Gauge™ app for iPhone and iPad
Pocket Rain Gauge™ app good for
I used this app to keep track how much rain I get, in order to determine how much water I need to water my shrubs. It will be nice to keep track of the rain from the past week, one week is good enough, otherwise I have to manually record the rain fall to determine how much water I need to feed to my lawn.
Would be nice to even have 72 hour totals and not just 24. Otherwise a nice app.
I love this app! Is it so reliable that I dont even bother to check my rain gauges any more. I love that I can use their Morning Farm Report software to enter all of my fields and use this app to check them all at once. Added side benefit...my boys make a game out of guessing which of our fields had the highest or lowest rains and amounts.
Some bad moments
Does not use weather station reporting data, estimates based off radar. Tried to create free account, wouldnt work. Keeps wanting to sell you a service.
The app insists on using your current location but I want to know whats happening at my house in Vermont. There seems to be no way to enter another location and the app wont run unless location services is enabled. I was excited to find it but this limitation makes it useless.
Also, why the 24 hour limitation? I bet Im not alone in wanting to know the rainfall history of the last week, month, season or year.
Easy-to-use and super accurate. This app also allows for user feedback to improve future readings. Cant wait to see what Agrible comes out with next.
This app is amazing it is one of the most useful app i have ever used
This is an app that I use every day to check the conditions outside before I play sports. It’s important to know how much water the ground has absorbed in the past 24h for sports like soccer and golf.
Application crashes immediately on title page on my iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1.2.
